music by Elton John, the famous musical Billy Elliot is based on the movie
of 2000 and, as in the film, Billy Elliot the musical tells the touching
story and fun of a guy who challenges the life and triumph over adversity
come true his dream. Billy Elliot has among other things, the screenplay
by Lee Hall, director Stephen Daldry and choreographed by Peter Darling.
The director Stephen Daldry has been able to set the personal battle of
Billy Elliot in the background of bitter political conflict of the miners'
strike. In London, the musical is staged at the Victoria Palace Theatre,
West End and its West End production was nominated for nine Laurence Olivier
Awards 2006, winning four of them.
